Video: Yoke Crew and Creamer

Garrett Creamer traveled to the Mid-Atlantic to hook up with the Yoke Crew homies and go fast in Maryland. Fortunately for us they kept their cameras nearby and decided to pump out a little edit of their downhill adventures, dubbing it Yoke Crew: Downhill Division, you’ll quickly understand why.

Take a look and watch these fools shred some tasty mountain runs.

Video: Ben D Truckin’

Our boy Ben DeSnyder left warm, always sunny New England for cold and cloudy California, but we won’t hold it against him because he’s reppin’ the east hard and showing suckers what’s really good. Watch as Ben hauls ass on some moist southern California canyon roads, truckin’ hard on his Valhalla prototype. We’re stoked to see Ben doin’ his thing and making some waves.

Video: ASHEVILLE GANJ PATROL

Yeah. This is some pure east coast downhill skateboarding. These dudes fucking kill it, check them out on their Facebook — http://www.facebook.com/AshevilleGanjPatrol?fref=ts
and on their Youtube — http://www.youtube.com/channel/UClkw6Ixfbdw8GvVovVlaL1g?feature=mhee

This video has got some burly fast skating in it and definitely worth the watch. Make sure to watch till the end for some gnarly night bombing down a ridiculously fast road.@1:17 Fuck the police haha!

P.S. Go fast and throw a hand down once in a while. Your slow ass stand up slides are lame.

Video: Skatesgiving Does Soldiers of Downhill 2012

While record numbers of people flocked to New York City in October for the Broadway Bomb, another set of shredders headed out to Ohio to take place in one of the fastest races in the country, Soldiers of Downhill. The race course is gnarly and makes for some absolutely epic racing. This year the Skatesgiving 2012 crew made Soldiers part of their trip, and I couldn’t be more thankful. The East Coast’s own, Brian Peck, along with McLovin and Gabe took the the camera, displaying some smoooooth steadicam action and great camera angles; as always, Matt K kills the edit. Give it a peep and let us know what you think in the comments.

Video: Skatesgiving takes MORDOR

Our good friend and local Connecticut shredder Brian Peck set out with a bunch of other familiar faces such as Anthony Flis, Matt K, and many others, to take on some of the east coast’s gnarliest downhill runs this fall as part of the now annual Skatesgiving road trip. The trip last year yielded some of the best videos of east coast downhill we’ve seen; they stepped it up again this year and didn’t disappoint in the least.

Get ready for a palm-sweaty good time as you watch Brian and crew rip down this absolutely legendary east coast run, known only as Mordor. Then watch it again, and again, and again. We promise, you’ll thank us later.

King of Clermont 2012 — Jan 14-15

It’s a good couple months to be in Florida if you’re a longboarder living on the East Coast. As the weather gets colder and the rain starts to turn into sleet and snow skate season is quickly fleeting for many of us here on the Right Coast but Florida is here to the rescue. Not only is the South Beach Bomb 2011 going down in Miami this weekend, King of Clermont will be back a few months earlier this year to get you psyched for the competitions that will pick back up in late March/April and prove that you haven’t lost those skills since the summer. This year they’re adding more hay bails to the course (which was a problem last year, apparently) and they rented a U-Haul truck to get everyone back to the top even faster, as Charlie Sheen would say, “#winnging.”

This year’s competition will feature two full days of absolutely gnarly skating. Day one will feature a slide jam with prizes for Biggest Air, Best Trick, and a game of “Kick the Can,” in addition to a Gnar Slalom event. Day two will be the fastest day of racing in Florida as the 3 division Downhill Race takes place.

Registration is $30 for 1 day and $50 for both. There is a strict cap of 125 riders so register early, once the event fills up there’s not much you can do about it and you’re not gonna wanna miss out. The race will be held at the Hampton Golf and Country Club on Sugarloaf Mountain  (1455 Mountain Club Drive, Clermont, FL 34715) with camping nearby at Bee’s RV Resort.

Sponsors are nearly endless since this is the only downhill competition in Florida and has proven to be quite awesome. Bustin’, Rayne, ABEC-11, Vicious Grip Tape, Bern, Gullwing Trucks and many more have signed on — meaning you’ll have a good chance of winning some sweet gear in raffles if you don’t end up placing high enough to win.

Of course, a helmet is required and you must have a signed waiver to skate. If you’re seen without a helmet you’ll be asked to leave — so don’t be that guy! More information can be found on the King of Clermont website.
