Video: Evan Krause on the way

I was scrolling around on facebook today and this video popped up. I remember my friend Tom Leary had mentioned this kids name before and was hyped on him so i watched it. STOKED ME OUT. A go-pro on the car, a solid song, and sick skating. What more do you need? Seeing such a young dude rip burly classic far east terrain like this, hauling ass and not being above putting a hand down, is awesome to see, especially when its done with unique, clean style. This kid is going places. Watch this video, grab your board, go forth, AND GO FAST.
By the way this is Norm posting from Connors account. STE has been pretty low key lately, but ill be getting on posting as frequently as possible. Keep an eye out yall.

Nelson Longboards Stingray KT 36 Review

Stingray KT 36 Review

We’re stoked to finally bring you the Nelson Longboards Stingray KT 36 review! Nelson took their popular Stingray KT39 and shot it with a shrink ray to form the Stingray KT36, a perfect “do-it all” board. With aggressive 3D concave in the front, mild W-concave in back, a wheelbase range from 21”-23”, and a flared nose and 6” kicktail this deck is quite the little shred machine. After riding it for around 2 hours, I immediately fell in love with this decks concave.

The mild W-concave in the back of the deck forms an incredible pocket that eliminates the need for monkey toe. Although I am not usually a fan of 3D wheel wells, I actually enjoyed the natural foot stop these raised wheel wells created and they also came in handy when popping ollies. The large 6” kicktail on this deck makes ollies and freestyle tricks a breeze and the flared nose is also pretty functional once you get used to it.

The 8-ply construction makes this deck a freaking tank (like honestly you can throw this thing around and you don’t need to worry). Just like its larger counterpart, the KT36 is a freeride machine, especially for smaller riders. If you want a deck that you can take from the hills to the park, go checkout Nelson’s Stingray KT36. Check out the video review below to hear more thoughts and see it in action.

Video: 6 Second Switch

I 100% guarentee you have enough time to take a peek at Tom Leary’s new 6 second steamy switch toeside. DROPPING HAMMERS.

Tom has progressed so much this season it’s absurd. He’s got some of the steeziest swtich toesides out there right now and keeps steaming harder and harder for every edit and session. The belt is coming out on a consistent basis.

Video: The True Mids Fiends

The word ‘mids’ is getting thrown around these days but shouldn’t loose its origins, or be diluted by the masses.  Its a fiendish word that’s epitomized by two of the original mids users, Norm Plante and Eric Roth.  Check out their new edit, back in the homelands, filmed and cut by Tom Leary.

Video: Tom Leary Drops The Hammer

Our newest writer and internet video wiz kid Tom Leary dropped a new video a couple of days ago on his personal account called “The Hammer.” Featuring Holliston, MA locals back from college, Eric Roth and Norm Plante, in addition to Tom himself, the video showcases some real fast freeriding and raw as hell runs in the mountains of New England. All three of these guys are getting progressively better every time we see footage of them, this time is no exception. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Video: Tom Slays Boston

Once again, I’m here to post a new video from Tom Leary but this time, he’s SLAYING the streets of Boston. The VX1000 fisheye footage combined with Tom’s stylish skateboard maneuvers equates to one super dope edit. Whether he is skating sideways or skating ledges, Tom is ALWAYS doing it right. Watch him get down n’ derty in his new video for Nelson Longboards.

Video: Tom Leary gets Doggied-Out for Nelson Longboards

Massachusetts shredder and Team Doggied-Out rider Tom Leary lays down the steeze in this new video as he is welcomed to the Nelson Team.  I’m sure Tom and Nelson are both stoked on this one. You’ve seen some of Tom’s work in the past, filming and editing for some of the Norm Plante videos that came out right before Norm went to school out west, and will certainly be seeing it more in the future as he continues to push it to the next level.

Videos: Saturday Wake Up Calls with Roth and Burkus

Let’s talk rad new videos shall we? Friends of the site Eric Roth and Nick Burkus have both released two new absolute STEAMERS over the last day or so and I just can’t sit here and not share them with you.

First up Tom Leary, Norman Plante, and Nick Burkus all get together to shred Team Mids’ home turf in Massachusetts and ended up with one of the most badass videos I’ve seen this summer. It’s tons of fun and shows a lot of progression from all three of these guys. Burkus had my favorite part in the video (not just because he gave our I REP THE EAST stickers a huge shout out) so make sure you keep your eyes glued from around 2:20 on.

Next we have Eric Roth’s new video for Nelson/FoeJo where he decides to demolish anything anyone has ever done on a Stingray KT and make most people feel generally inferior about their ability to ride one. Roth takes his nasty gnar style to the next level and shows how versatile and fun that Stingray KT actually is. Rich Nelson came in heavy with the film and edit on this one with some next level boom shots that add that “next level gamechanger” (as Eric would say) feel to the video.

As always make sure you Subscribe to us on YouTube, Like us on Facebook, and Follow on Twitter to make sure you stay in the loop. I’m out filming with Team Tangy, Norman Plante, Henry Lancaster-Goguen and others today so make sure you’re subscribed to get the news for when the footy from today drops!

Nelson to Accept STINGRAY Orders Starting at 8PM

The day that many people have been waiting for is finally here: starting at 8:00PM EST tonight Nelson Longboards will start taking pre-orders for their new flagship board that has had people drooling for months, the Stingray. Complete with a sexy wood/minimalist graphic the completed board looks like it’ll stay true to expectations and turn heads both for pure sexiness as well as functionality. It’s going to be available in two flavors: with and without a kicktail (which, from what I’ve been able to tell, you want). I’ve had a chance to ride Lauren’s prototype Stingray a couple of times and it’s got a unique feel unlike anything else you’ve ridden currently on the market and will be a great competitor to Landyachtz’s new stiff offering with a kicktail, the Peacemaker.

Head on over to Nelson Longboard’s website to get more information about the boards and pre-order yours so you can be sure to get them the second they hit the streets.

Video: Team Tangy Gets Sick

Jake Wade and Chris O’Brien of Team Tangy are good friends of the site and consistently produce high quality videos with gnarly skating. Their newest release dubbed “Spring Fever”, which features Jake Wade skating the new Nelson Tempest, is another great edit featuring gnarly skating and great editing, as we’ve come to expect from the Team Tangy crew.

The boys also recently hit another milestone on YouTube, reaching the coveted 1,000 subscribers mark — congrats guys!
