Video: Independence Day Edit

Officially, this video is probably one of the more epic and badass edits we’ve ever done. Yes, that’s due in part to the fact that we used one of the most epicly American songs ever — Kenny Loggin’s “Danger Zone” (featured in one of the most American/best movies ever created, “Top Gun” with Tom Cruise) — to create a visual and audio experience that will leave you pumped up and ready to kick some asphalt arse. What else does it contain? American flags and Americans enjoying two of the most enjoyable things in life: tasty weather and a mid-week holiday. If that doesn’t leave you so stoked for this edit, I’m not sure anything will.

Riders are myself (Mike DiPietro), Ryan Howard (of the former Northern Skate Alliance) and Tyler Gallagi. Setups below the video.

Setups:

  • Mike DiPietro: Bustin EQ on 50* Calibers and Duval Hurricane wheels.
  • Ryan Howard: Ryane Baby Killer on 45* Surf-Rodz RKPs and S9 Raceform “tires” (as Ryan calls them).
  • Tyler Gallagi: Jaiti on 50* Prandalls (Paris Baseplate/Randall Hanger) and 85a Tsunami Rain Skates wheels.

Video: Northern Skate Alliance take you “Over The Boarder”

Robert Briggs and Kyle Kay, two of the Northern Skate Alliance administrators hop the boarder into New York to shred some very fast, very smooth looking hills. These guys are hitting speeds of over 50 miles per hour and making it look too easy. Highlights include what looks to be a fairly high-speed one legged tuck at around 0:12 and the hairpin at 2:05.

NSA Do July 4th Right

Our friends over at the Northern Skate Alliance did what they do best on Monday, taking full advantage of the holiday and finding some epic new skate spots. Along the way they stopped and took some new video, embedded below. The quick edit shows you how quickly the guys are progressing, especially Ryan Howard who you can see throwing down at least one 360 and some very nice looking standup slides. Robert Briggs and Kyle Kay also throw down some impressive slides and 180s.

The Administration of the NSA are pushing onto the next level. I can’t wait to see what they have coming as the season progresses!
