This video is making around the internet quickly, as it should. Easily some of the most creative and fun looking features I’ve ever seen mixed in with some very gnarly skating. Watch it a couple of times and start getting stoked for spring to come!
Tom Leary, AKA Lom Teary made some moves up and down the east coast in 2014 and he just put out a solo part to prove it. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
Now that the snow has cleared across much of the east coast it’s time to start seeing some edits again. Some of our boys from the Yokecrew in Maryland — John Kruetter, Ed Garner and Jacob Roberts — got together recently and filmed the first edit of this season. It’s a very smooth video, as usual, with Spencer Flaherty doing the videography and editing.

Our homie Kai Monroe started making quite the name for himself at the end of last season when he started dropping gnarly videos on the regular, killin’ it at events, and got picked up as a first round pick for Blood Orange’s Am Team. He just dropped his new raw run for his sponsor Downhill Design wheels. The homie shows that despite the cold and sometimes wet winter, his skills didn’t get very rusty. This video doesn’t do his shredding full justice, but shows that Kai definitely goes hard, check out his little kiss with the snowbank at the end as proof.

Asheville Ganj Patrol provides us with some clips form the yesteryear that apparently didn’t make “the cut.”
Nonetheless, this here series of moving pictures is still worthy of viewing as they take you through the year’s bails and unused footage alongside a chill, funky tune to cap it all off.
Check it out, or don’t haha, either way these guys are having a blast skating down in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and when they aren’t there, you can catch them shotgunning beers and poaching runs at your local races. Cheers to skateboarding!
And down, and down again. In fact, this is almost two full minutes of the Earthwing guys — Steve Kong, Mac, Andriy Dash, Max, and Ed Nieves — falling over and over again and having some good old fashion fun in between. While we try our best to post our share of super gnarly videos, it’s nice to be reminded every now and then that everyone falls, plus this was too fun not to post.

John Kreutter is probably one of the biggest names on east coast downhill scene at the mere age of 16. One may call it big fish small pond but I just call it like I see it. We were able to catch John on the book of faces for a quick little chit chat about his new video, the winter, and the future.
Connor: Alright so about the video, when did you shoot it and how long did it take to film?
JK: We filmed the video about 3 months ago before winter started up. It took us 2 days to film
Connor: Nice nice. Speaking of winter, what have you been up to since all this snow can restrict when and where you can skate?
JK: I’ve been in lurk hibernation mode. Skating when it’s possible because there’s snow all over the place. Mainly just been taking a little break from non-stop skateboarding. Stoked to get back into the groove of things for the 2014 Season.
Connor: Yeah! This year should be rowdy especially with the new Push Culture race series here on the east coast. What are you looking forward to the most for 2014?
JK: Skating all over the place, having fun, and shooting videos/photos with friends! Super stoked to get back out to Giant’s Head and the Downhill Disco!
JK: Haha honestly don’t have anything big in the works at the moment.
Connor: Hahah alright dude that’s about it, any shout outs you wanna throw out to mom, homies, sponsors or whatever?
JK: Thank you mom. (kissy face)
Our homie from central CT, Keith Burwood, put together a 2013 recap video and obviously made me an instant fan by calling it ‘Chief Keith’ (#300 #GloGang). Homie has a great mix of some good looking skating and did a great job chopping up the edit and making things look pretty. Check it out and leave a comment with what you thought below – it’s super easy we swear.
Wooooo baby Yokesgiving is back again this year and starting it off right is a raw run featuring the man himself, Ed Garner. Hailing from Maryland Ed keeps it real, shredding for Volante, Rayne, and The Pucks (there might be more but you get the idea) and making a name for himself all over the map. He rages this run while managing to keep it fun and steezy, even throwing a driveway thrash in. Make sure you take note of how sandy that road is already…winter really is here on the east coast. 🙁
Keep an eye out for the first full episode from Yokesgiving 2013 when it drops soon.
