Video and Interview: John Kreutter

John Kreutter Boneless

John Kreutter is probably one of the biggest names on east coast downhill scene at the mere age of 16. One may call it big fish small pond but I just call it like I see it. We were able to catch John on the book of faces for a quick little  chit chat about his new video, the winter, and the future.

Connor: Alright so about the video, when did you shoot it and how long did it take to film?
JK: We filmed the video about 3 months ago before winter started up. It took us 2 days to film

Connor: Nice nice. Speaking of winter, what have you been up to since all this snow can restrict when and where you can skate?

JK: I’ve been in lurk hibernation mode. Skating when it’s possible because there’s snow all over the place. Mainly just been taking a little break from non-stop skateboarding. Stoked to get back into the groove of things for the 2014 Season.

Connor: Yeah! This year should be rowdy especially with the new Push Culture race series here on the east coast. What are you looking forward to the most for 2014?

JK: Skating all over the place, having fun, and  shooting videos/photos with friends! Super stoked to get back out to Giant’s Head and the Downhill Disco!

John Kreutter going fastConnor: Do you have anything big in the works with Original? Any inside scoop that’s capable of being shared? Hahah

JK: Haha honestly don’t have anything big in the works at the moment.

Connor: Hahah alright dude that’s about it, any shout outs you wanna throw out to mom, homies, sponsors or whatever?

JK: Thank you mom. (kissy face)

Video: Yoke Crew and Creamer

Garrett Creamer traveled to the Mid-Atlantic to hook up with the Yoke Crew homies and go fast in Maryland. Fortunately for us they kept their cameras nearby and decided to pump out a little edit of their downhill adventures, dubbing it Yoke Crew: Downhill Division, you’ll quickly understand why.

Take a look and watch these fools shred some tasty mountain runs.

Video: Swervin The Left

That East Coast Yoke Crew Throwing Down.  If you don’t know about the YokeCrew, than you gotta get familiar cause they kill it.  This latest edit combines the skills of Eric Roth on the edit and Harison Hardig on the camera with Ed Garner’s gnarly as all hell skating. Check it out at least once, maybe twice then share it with your friends cause they’ll need to be on the loop with this one, as well.

Video: Ed Garner is a Beast

Ed Garner is an absolute beast, one of the rawest skaters out there and charges like a boss.  I skated with Ed and Dan Fontz the other weekend on their hometown skate turf and man I couldn’t keep up those dudes are gnar.  That DH run also looks 10x more gnar in person. In Maryland they skate narrow, they skate fast, and they take the only lines you can to survive out there. Driveways, paths, one lane roads, they shred it all.  Ed gets hooked up by Rayne and Volante, so props to those dudes supporting out here. Enough said, check out this video if you haven’t already seen it.

Videos: Yokesgiving

The Yoke Crew out of Maryland is at it again, teaming up with Tom Leary to produce some gnarly east coast downhill videos on some of the most legendary roads. This is a raw run and parts one and two of what we’ve heard to be a three part series, so more gnar is expected to come. These guys don’t need much more of an introduction so just sit tight and watch them rip. Skaters include Ed Garner, Colin Martin, Dan Fontz, probably more we missed.

Video: Ed Garner Gets Raw

Ed Garner, who we’ve posted a few times before, set his car cam up and got down on a mountain run, presumably somewhere out in PA where he’s currently attending college. Ed is an all around east coast ripper who has been ripping it in Maryland/Washington D.C. and steadily making a name for himself up and down the coast. Make sure you remember where you started seeing him first, because this kid is bound to be real big real soon!
